that trace of blue 10

Journal Entry: Wed Nov 14, 2012, 8:51 AM
My "trace of blue" journals usually include a pair of images but this one by NoŽlle is so striking and good that I am featuring it by itself.

:iconmissumlaut:

Or course NoŽlle's image has more going on than its blue notes. About the color itself, "[B]lue love is a global affair," says the New York Times. "Ask people their favorite color, and in most parts of the world roughly half will say blue, a figure three to four times the support accorded common second-place finishers like purple or green."

Excellent image...well worth allotting it center stage. My eyes opened wide when I opened it up to full view.

Thanks, Yvette. Yes, the full view is a-MAZ-ing. I keep coming back to this as people comment on the journal and I am still enthralled by it.

yeah, i know, so many people have blue as their favorite color. including me! so weird. maybe because of it's soothing properties?

that has to be part of it. blue gives the feeling of having room for us in it, while red (which is my second favorite despite what the Times says about purple or green) seems to be coming at us, it's aggressive.

yes, it's an open space that pulls us in - not sure where we are going but a spell has been cast upon us.

yes... a spell. some kind of magical energy all around. and so many possible emotions... even when the shoes are empty and a brief silence floats in the air
