This is my second viewing of this collage. It didn't grab me the first time around, but it does now. Interesting how that happens. I love the overall composition and the colors, of course. The balls of yarn, or whatever they are, really pull the image together with their deep browns and faint bluish cast. Great overall sense of balance, too.
But it's the figure in the corner that is the magnet for me. Flood of memories: [link][link][link] . Perhaps a futile attempt to hold back the march of time, which will eventually force the character off the page.
Idle ramblings...but I'm glad I had a second look.
Thanks for looking again, Vic. It's always a question with collage, when to stop and when to go on. Clearly this one could have held more elements, and I kept looking at it thinking "Is this really where it stops?" And it felt like it was.
