..the quiet - understated collage - glad they exist - and that you have that light subtle touch to make it work . . . . . I've always felt that there's a fine line between 'subtle and intriguing'- &-'insipid and boring' -- you seem to find a way to cross that line - not easy to accomplish in my book. ( that's a compliment !- however awkwardly worded )
yes, i take it as one and thank you very much! I know what you mean, too - the way I think of it is that every piece has to "speak" - and if I look at them and they're not saying anything, I keep working or put them aside.
that's a good point - it can be peace or it can be repression. Hanan made a picture called "let there be silence", i've been thinking about it today, the sounds i would turn off and those i would leave on.
hmmmm.... I see what you mean. The rainbow bar makes it more of an idea piece, without it, it would have been a purer expressive piece. Or maybe the other way around... Anyway, I sincerely appreciate the comment, Ed. It didn't even occur to me to leave the rainbow out - I put the piece together in about 5 minutes - and this helps me see it differently.
