I took my baby for a picnic, we went out in the snow.
Yes, I took her for a picnic, we went out in the snow.
She said, "Slim, it's kind of cold here" - but where else could we go?

I played guitar for my baby and my fingers got numb.
When I played guitar for my baby, my fingers got numb.
She said, "You better put your gloves on - but I like the way you strum."

I poured some wine for my baby, it was a red from oh-three.
I poured a fine wine for my baby, it was a red from oh-three.
She said, "I think a red should be warmer, but it's all right with me."

I lit a fire for my baby, I turned a tree into a torch.
Well, I lit a fire for my baby, I turned a tree into a torch.
She said, "Slim, I like the heat but our blanket will scorch."

Then it snowed for five minutes, six or eight inches fell.
Oh, it snowed for five minutes, six or eight inches fell.
My baby looked like a snowman and I looked like one myself.

My baby led me back indoors and being warm was nice.
She led me back indoors and being warm was nice.
She said, "Slim, you are the sweetest, but let's not do that twice."
.

Most kind thanks to neurotype for featuring this as a Daily Deviation. What a pleasant surprise this morning!

It's funny, I remember all the way back in college my friends and I were often in a blue mood on Sundays. Something about Sunday afternoon and evening, suspended between the week past and the week to come.

And thanks! I confess, I have missed DDs by friends myself.

Here it becomes worse and worse. It certainly plays a role that I love my ob so very much.
And I might have mentioned before about the feeling of stagnation in photography.
All the exciting things, exhibition, publications, shooting with models, books, collabs (other than dear Lúcia, of course) even DDs etc. are a long time ago, though I probably put more energy into phtography than ever before ....
Makes it tough sometime to find imagination and motivation - especially when I am in my familiar surroundings

I hear you. Hard to look around and see anything new or to think of something new. Well - your recent work has been superb despite that. But I hear you
