Intense Dark by RichardLeach Intense Dark by RichardLeach
Altered playing card.

Packing tape transfer background, improvisation from scraps on top. Slow improvisation in this case.

Hmmmm...does that "Intense Dark" come from a chocolate package?

Aha - someone else who walks the dark chocolate path!

Lindt 70% cocoa. Rules.

I love that one too!

You know what is really good is Scharffenberger. We don't have it on the east coast, but I picked some up when visiting Berkeley last year.

Lindt is great because it's everywhere.

thanks! the "now" scrap was the final piece. i had to decide if escape could be now, and i chose yes - also it seemed to complete the composition.

the words "intense dark" are from the wrapper of a chocolate bar. i tore them off because they seemed to have wider implications!

Oooo :wow:
Now, I'd love to write a really intellectual response, because I think this card deserves it, but I'm afraid "ooo" is about the best I can come up with. :XD: That, and it reminds me of whispered ghost stories in the dark, for some reason. I like it a lot.

"Oooo" is a very flattering and very satisfactory response, and it makes me smile! Thank you very much.

An improvised ballad! Man! The clock, arrow and the repeated 'Now'... Reminds me of the tune 'Agitation' from Miles' E.S.P. album.

Martel, that's great! Thanks so much for that comment. It is early here, but I will take ESP from the shelf and play "Agitation" later.

You know what is really cool about this collage. Well most of your collages in general. That you have all of these pieces that are not related but you put them together so that they fit, they work.

Like what does a playing card have to do with a clock? Nothing. But they compliment each other very well by the way you artistically arrange them. And that is why I like your collages so much.

Great job

partially... but they also obey your commands.

we watched the Star Wars movies hundreds of times - well, dozens - with our kids.

it's on the Millennium Falcon, Luke has that helmet on and he's swatting things with the light saber, and he says to Obi-Wan, So the force controls your actions? and Obi-Wan replies, Partially, but it also obeys your commands.

now please imagine an emoticon indicating that i have explained myself to the point of absurdity!
